Adopted/Shared Motto of the Association
Personally, I live by the motto of, I have ZERO tolerance for bullshit and perpetuated ignorance. I do not entertain or tolerate drama in any form in my personal life and refuse to do so in any other areas or aspect of my life to include in the daily interactions within the association and the community. With that being said it should be noted that the association shares the same motto. In our efforts to build a community of love, support, inclusion, sister, and brotherhood it is paramount that we do not entertain or tolerate negativity on any level. If that is your interest, this association is NOT for you.
I wear several hats to include minister, singer/songwriter, motivational speaker, advocate, spiritual life coach, aspiring author, as well as an aspiring professional counselor nearing the end of my master’s studies. All things included I am also the mother of four children and one granddaughter. I have an extensive business/professional background in various positions and I hold a BS degree in Psychology.
I began growing my nails around the age of 14. My inspirations were my mother, the original record holder Lee Redmond, and Olympic Gold Medalists Florence Griffith “Flo Jo” Joyner. I got my first acryclic set my freshman year in college. After about three sittings I fathomed that I could do them myself. I bought my first acrylic application kit, practiced on myself and my best friend for about two months before I began to build my own clientele. As much as I appreciate the convenience of doing my own, I never had a passion for doing other’s outside of making a little side money, so coincidentally although I’ve been doing nails for over 20 years, I have never obtained a license or certification. The longest I have allowed my nails to grow were 5 to 7 inches in length. I cut them completely off July 25, 2013. As of today they are about 2 inches in length.
